ABK-Egypt supports efforts to improve health of Egyptian children

Cairo, Egypt  - September 2021: In line with its efforts to make a difference in the communities where it operates, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt) partnered with the Ibrahim Badran Foundation (IBF) and made a donation to support the health and wellbeing of Egyptian children in the most underprivileged areas across Egyptian governorates. ABK-Egypt’s support stems from its commitment to charitable causes and its devotion to being a force for good, aligned with its corporate social responsibility agenda that aims to build sustainable partnerships with various organizations that champion community-driven initiatives to pave the way for a better and more prosperous Egypt.

The funds will support the Foundation’s ‘Our Children, Our Future’ initiative, which will see 10 medical convoys dispatched to 10 underprivileged villages in the Qalubia Governorate between now and the end of the year. The initiative is expected to treat over 7,000 patients and raise health awareness among over 8,000 beneficiaries. This contribution reflects the Bank’s tireless dedication to supporting the communities in need and raising social awareness to improve health in the underprivileged villages and provide them with access to medical support.

Ibrahim Ahmed Badran Foundation was established in 2014 to provide primary healthcare to those in need by organizing initiatives to reach and treat patients in rural areas across Egyptian governorates. IBF owns five mobile health clinics and other well-equipped vehicles that support the Foundation in reaching as many patients as possible across the country. The Foundation has successfully organized more than 325 medical convoys in 120 villages in 16 Governorates and examined more 340,000 patients in rural areas in seven years.
