ABK-Egypt organizes educational roadshow for farmers to nurture financial inclusion

The educational roadshow raises awareness on banking products and highlights the evolving digital banking services available.

Cairo, Egypt - 3 October 2021: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait (ABK), one of Egypt’s fastest-growing banks, concluded a successful roadshow to promote financial inclusion amongst farmers in cities across Egypt. This initiative is part of ABK-Egypt’s Financial Inclusion strategy that focuses on reaching unbanked segments and providing equal opportunities to all members of society.

This event was in support of the country’s transition towards a cashless future and in harmony with the Central Bank of Egypt’s financial inclusion initiative, following the Egyptian Farmer’s Day celebrated between 1–15 September, 2021.

ABK-Egypt offered a set of banking services and benefits for new customers, including opening saving accounts for farmers without fees and issuing debit cards free of charge.

The roadshow is part of ABK-Egypt’s ongoing efforts to educate and raise financial literacy among residents of rural areas in Egypt. Additionally, the bank aims to raise banking awareness among farmers and encourage them to open bank accounts, and efficiently manage their finances through the roadshow.
