Cairo, May 2024: Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt), has been recognized as the Best Retail Bank in Egypt at the prestigious MENA Banking Excellence Awards 2024 hosted by MEED International Magazine. This recognition celebrates ABK-Egypt's excellence in retail banking and relentless pursuit of innovation, value creation and customer-centricity. The ceremony took place at Kempinski the Boulevard Hotel in Dubai, bringing together leaders and representatives of distinguished banks and firms from across the MENA Region.

Expressing his pride in receiving this title of Best Retail Bank in Egypt, Mr. Ali Marafi, Chairman of ABK-Egypt stated: “This recent achievement highlights ABK-Egypt's commitment to setting industry benchmarks and celebrates the Bank's unparalleled dedication to providing top-notch retail banking services and solutions in Egypt”.

Mr. Ali Marafi further explained that AKB-Egypt is constantly enhancing its business plans and operating model to ensure sustainable growth in size and profitability, affirming that the Bank is placing customers at the forefront of its priorities and is continuously working on upgrading its offerings to create value and provide exceptional service that meet their growing needs and make their lives easier.

Mr. Marafi further stated that this award is a testament to ABK-Egypt's strong regional presence and reflects the high confidence that ABK-Egypt has gained from reputable international institutions. He added that this award complements a series of achievements by the Bank over the past years, including the “Fastest Growing Bank in Egypt” award, from International Finance Magazine in 2023 and that ABK-Egypt will continue to shine and build on its success story  over the coming years with the level of commitment of our Executive Management team and the perseverance of our employees, ensuring that the Bank consistently delivers added value to our customers and shareholders.
